Vanced's owner received a cease and desist letter from Google lately, forcing the developers to stop distributing and developing the software. "We were requested to remove all references to 'YouTube,' replace the logo, and erase any links to YouTube products," a Vanced admin explains.

Vanced has been discontinued. In the coming days, the download links on the website will be taken down. We know this is not something you wanted to hear but it's something we need to do. Thank you all for supporting us over the years.
About Vanced
Vanced is a popular Android third-party YouTube app that allows users to disable all video advertising on YouTube without having to pay for a Premium subscription. Vanced also features customizations not available in the original YouTube for Android app, such as a pure black theme.

A Telegram message from the Vanced owners states, "Vanced has been discontinued." "We understand that this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's something we have to do." We've contacted Google for comment on the cancellation of Vanced, and we'll keep you updated.
"VANCED PROJECT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED"
Vanced is no longer available. The download links will be removed in the following days. For the time being, the Discord server, Telegram chat, and subreddit will be available. We understand that this is not what you wanted to hear, but we had no choice. We appreciate all of your support over the years.
- The current version will continue to function.
- It was done for legal reasons.
