In January 2020, Indian automaker Bajaj introduced its first electric scooter, the Bajaj Chetak. Until now, the scooter has only been offered to clients in Bangalore and Pune.

Ather Energy, an Indian electric vehicle business, hosted a launch ceremony in India earlier today, when it debuted its latest electric scooter. The smart scooter is known as the Ather 450x. The new model is a step up from the Ather 450. In terms of features, the Ather 450x smart electric scooter has a design that is comparable to its predecessor but with certain upgrades in its arrangement. The built-in 4G and WiFi functionality is especially noteworthy. This is made feasible by the Snapdragon 212 chipset found on the system's motherboard. The chipset is supported by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space. The scooter has a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen display that is lighted by LEDs. Android Open Source OS provides the interface (AOSP).  In India, Ather Energy has increased the cost of its 450 line of electric scooters. These models, which have experienced an average price increase of 5,500 INR, also include the 450X and 450 Plus versions (roughly 75 US Dollars).
