A new function for macOS is called Continuity Camera.

Apple intends to make it possible for users of macOS to use the iPhone camera as a webcam. The new Continuity Camera functionality is a part of the next macOS Ventura release. Apple wants MacBook

owners to attach an iPhone to the top of their computers and utilise the camera to enhance video conversations in FaceTime, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and other services.

Simply put, Continuity Camera transforms the existing iPhone's rear camera stream into a webcam that can be used in macOS programmes. There are numerous video modes available for a range of calls, including support for Center Stage and Portrait Mode in Continuity Camera.

To make it simple to hold an iPhone in place atop a MacBook's display, Apple claims that it is collaborating with Belkin on stands that will be available later this year. Additionally, you won't need new hardware for this because software upgrades will support your current hardware. Later this year, the new Continuity Camera feature will be accessible.
