New concept artwork for the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express, which is scheduled to become a reality in early 2024, was unveiled by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. With this addition to the Indian Railways fleet, travelers will have a faster option for overnight long-distance travel.
Each Vande Bharat Express sleeper train will include 16 roomy bogies with an exceptional capacity to hold up to 887 passengers and is engineered for a top speed of 160 km/h.
Wider sleepers, brighter interiors, roomier toilets, a small pantry, and cutting-edge safety systems are just a few of the improvements that the Vande Bharat sleeper coaches will introduce. The energy efficiency and environmental impact of these new trains are anticipated to increase.
According to the images posted on X by Vaishnaw, the sleeper coaches feature a traditional wooden style that is complemented by luxurious seating arrangements, ambient floor lighting, and improved top lights.

The nation's first semi-high-speed train, Vande Bharat Express,
debuted in January 2019 and reached an astounding top speed of 180 kmph on
