WhatsApp may soon let you ‘keep’ disappearing messages before they’re gone
WhatsApp is experimenting with a new feature that allows users to retain essential messages in vanishing chats for future reference.

WhatsApp introduced Disappearing messages to make conversations more private, but when users who make rely on the disappearing mode to communicate may still have some important messages that they wish to keep safe. This could be an address, a set of instructions or something similar.
Now it looks like WhatsApp might fix this issue with a new feature that will allow users to save and keep select messages for later reference even when they’re chatting in disappearing mode.

According to a new report from WABetaInfo, the functionality is now under testing and will be available to WhatsApp Beta users on Android, iOS, and Desktop at a later date, before being rolled out to all WhatsApp users.

| According to reports, WhatsApp will shortly stop supporting iOS 10 and iOS 11.
According to a screenshot in the article, WhatsApp will add a dedicated section to a chat's profile page where all the 'Kept Messages' would be found. This option is located directly below Starred messages and above Mute notifications. WhatsApp Desktop was used to take the snapshot. Take a look at the video below.
The Keep Messages function will be available in group chats as well as one-on-one chats, where it will most likely be much more beneficial.
While the feature is still being tested, there is no way of knowing how long it will take to make it to the platform's beta edition. However, given the app's history of adding new features to beta editions, we could see the feature arrive in test versions in a few weeks.
